Where is Sundown Roofing & Construction based?
We are at 10500 AR-43, Harrison, AR 72601, and we work out of that shop across North Arkansas and Southwest Missouri.
How far do you travel?
Across North Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. That reaches Fayetteville and Bentonville to the west, Mountain Home to the east, and Springfield, Missouri to the north. Towns closer in get looked at sooner; the far edge is a scheduled trip and we say so upfront.
Are estimates really free?
Yes. You get a scope and a fixed number, not a verbal figure that drifts. If something is found once the old roof is off — rotten decking is the usual one — you hear the cost before we carry on, not on the final invoice.
How long does a metal roof last?
A properly installed metal roof normally outlasts two or three shingle roofs. Exposed-fastener systems need their screws and washers attended to around the twenty-year mark; standing seam has no exposed fasteners to service at all.
Is metal roofing worth the extra cost over shingles?
It depends on how long you are staying. Shingles cost less to install; metal usually costs less across its life because you are not doing it again. We will put both in front of you rather than only the one we would rather sell.
Is a metal roof noisy in the rain?
Not on a house. The noise people remember comes from a barn or carport, where panel is fixed straight to open purlins with nothing underneath. Over a solid deck and underlayment the difference from a shingle roof is small.
