Built for this weather, not a catalogue
North Arkansas and Southwest Missouri gives a roof three separate problems in the same twelve months: ice in winter, hail through spring, and long humid summers. Very few building decisions have to cope with that spread, and it is why we specify the way we do — heavier gauge than the minimum on working buildings, standing seam where access would make future maintenance a problem, and ventilation designed in rather than added later.
Metal roofing is the core of it, but the same crew pours the pad, sets the posts and finishes the shop. One outfit from site evaluation to the last screw, which is why the proposal you sign is the one you pay.
We are based at 10500 AR-43 in Harrison and we are not going anywhere. That matters more than it sounds in a trade where storm-chasing crews arrive after bad weather, work the damage and move on.

Your estimate is Free
Tell us what you are building. We come out, look at the site, and put a proposal in front of you.

Get started today
Tell us what you are building or what the roof is doing. We will get back to you to set up a site visit.
Rely on proven craftsmanship, every project
Ten services, one crew. Roofing is the core, and the building underneath it is the same job.

Metal Roof Installation
New standing seam and exposed-fastener metal roofing, specified for the weather this region actually gets.

Metal Roof Repairs
Leaks traced to the actual entry point and put right — fasteners, flashing, laps and storm damage.

Metal Roof Replacement
Old covering off, deck made good, new metal roof on — with the condition underneath checked before anything goes back.

Custom Home Building
Ground-up homes taken from site work and foundation through to a finished, weather-tight build.

Pole Barn Construction
Post-frame barns, shops and outbuildings sized to the job — including turnkey site work and slab.

Shops & Garages
Workshops and garages built to be worked in — proper slab, proper doors, proper ventilation.

Siding
Siding fitted over a proper weather barrier, with the flashing at openings done right.

Concrete Pads
Slabs, footings and pads poured to spec, so whatever goes on top of them sits level and stays level.

Foundations
Footings and foundations set into ground that has actually been assessed, with the drainage dealt with.

Car Ports
Covered parking built to stay put — because an open-sided roof has to be held down, not just covered over.
Why choose Sundown?
Metal roofing specialists
Standing seam and exposed-fastener systems are the core of what we do, not a sideline to shingles.
Upfront, honest pricing
A proposal covering site work, concrete and the build. No overages, and we stay on the job until it is finished.
One crew, start to finish
Jason walks the site himself, and the same crew pours the slab, sets the posts and finishes the shop.

About Sundown
Who is Sundown Roofing & Construction?
A metal roofing and construction company based in Harrison, Arkansas, working across North Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. Roofing is the core of what we do, but the same crew pours the pad and puts up the building.
Where are you based?
10500 AR-43, Harrison, AR 72601. Being here rather than passing through matters — we are still going to be down the road in five years.
How far do you travel for work?
Right across North Arkansas and Southwest Missouri, taking in 45 towns we name on the site and plenty in between. Work closer to home gets looked at sooner; the far edge is a scheduled trip and we say so upfront.
What makes you different from other roofers here?
Two things. Metal is our specialism rather than one option on a list, and we build the structure as well as the roof — so on a barn or a shop you are not coordinating between a concrete contractor, a builder and a roofer.
Do you subcontract the work out?
The core work is our own crew. That is the point of doing site work, concrete, framing and roofing under one roof: most of what goes wrong on a build happens in the handover between trades.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Ask us for current details when we come out and we will provide them in writing along with the estimate.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates are free — a scope and a fixed number, not a verbal figure that moves once work starts.
What happens if you find a problem once work has started?
You hear about it before we carry on, not afterwards on the invoice. Rotten decking under an old roof is the classic example, and it is the one thing genuinely impossible to assess until the covering is off.
What sort of buildings do you work on?
Houses, shops, garages, carports, pole barns, poultry and agricultural buildings, and ground-up custom homes. Residential and working buildings both, and the balance shifts with the season.
Do you offer financing?
Finance options are available. Ask when we come out and we will go through them alongside the estimate, so you see the total rather than just a monthly figure.
How do I get hold of you?
Call (479) 601-3605 during business hours, monday – friday 7:30am – 5:00pm, or send the form on our contact page and we will come back to you.
