No. Metal does not attract lightning, and because it is non-combustible and conductive it tends to disperse a strike rather than ignite. A metal roof is generally considered a lower fire risk than a shingle one.

That is condensation, not a leak, and it is very common in unvented shops, barns and garages around here. Warm moist air meets the cold underside of the panel and beads. The fix is ventilation and the right underlayment — not sealant, and not a new roof.

Sometimes, and it saves the cost and mess of a tear-off. It depends how many layers are already there, whether the deck is sound and what the local code allows. We will tell you honestly if it is a bad idea on your roof.

Yes — poultry houses, equipment sheds, shops and large-span barns are a substantial part of our work. On those we usually recommend heavier gauge panel than the minimum, given the value of what is underneath.
